Shaila Yován Tenorio
Shaila is a wandering artist and horsewoman currently residing with her four-legged muses in the sage brush highlands of Washington state. Through her work she hopes to inspire wonder as well as empathy toward all living things.
"The works of the Creator are my inspiration. I have learned first hand in working with animals and in wild places that love is what matters most. In my work, I hope to express the depth and beauty that comes by practicing dignity in our relationships with all animals, and in understanding the irreplaceable role they play in our shared existence."
These days Shaila finds her art to be most fulfilling as a means for advocacy in conservation and animal causes. She can usually be found dividing her time between creating art and searching out the animals…with a good view of the horizon.
